Irish Broadband going mobile

DUBLIN (WiMAX Day). WiMAX provider Irish Broadband is quickly preparing its network to offer mobile WiMAX services next year that it intends will compete with and complement other slow broadband services offered by GSM operators. The existing 3.5 GHz network operated by Irish Broadband can be easily upgraded to offer mobile WiMAX services. Irish Broadband will intend to offer mobile WiMAX services for laptop computers using PCMCIA cards and in handheld devices as they become available. VoIP will be one popular service for mobile WiMAX for Irish Broadband.
