BOSTON (WiMAX Day). Ben Wolff, the co-CEO of Clearwire, made an appearance at the WiMAX World conference this week and presented to all who would listen an early indication of the company’s performance. Wolff stated that thus far Clearwire has 162,000 subscribers in America, and will cover 36 markets by the end of 2006, including a launch of services in Seattle. “We’re making the WiMAX vision a reality today,” Wolff told conference attendees. “With 162,000 subscribers, we’ve demonstrated this is a viable business and we’re here to stay.”
