New spectrum on offer in Thailand
BANGKOK (WiMAX Day). The re-formed National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) in Thailand announced that it will invite applications for the use of 2.5 GHz and 3.5 GHz spectrum. Under a different government, 3.5 GHz spectrum had been allocated to the company ShinSat, whilst another company TOT Corp had been allotted frequency in 2.4 GHz band, and pay-TV operator UBC True had been awarded 2.5 GHz spectrum.
