Clearwire have announced their largest network deployment in America in Seattle, Washington, including surrounding cities of Everett and Tacoma. “The Seattle, Tacoma and Everett deployments constitute Clearwire’s largest market to date, making our services available now to more than 8 million people,” said Ben Wolff, co-CEO and co-president of Clearwire, in a statement prepared by the company. According to a report in the Seattle Times, Clearwire has launched their services in 31 markets, however Seattle is thus far the largest. Seattle also will be their most competitive market. The same source reports that more than 76 percent of Seattle residents have Internet access. In celebration of the launch, Clearwire treated the residents of Seattle to a laser-light show.
