In-Stat reports rapid growth for WiMAX
SCOTTSDALE (WiMAX Day). A report released yesterday from market research firm In-Stat forecasts that “WiMAX technology is entering a rapid growth phase,” and subscribers will reach 19.7 million by the end of 2010. The report states that one of the main drivers of growth is the increase in available WiMAX Forum-certified equipment from vendors. The reports also forecasts that the majority of subscribers will be in the Asia/Pacific region.
