LISBON (WiMAX Day). The Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações (ANACOM) in Portugal has released a public consultation for the introduction of broadband wireless licenses in the 3.4 ~ 3.6 GHz frequency range. The public consultation seeks to gather the opinion of market participants such as manufacturers and network operators toward making a final decision on the allocation of spectrum licenses. The decision for the consultation was made on November 23, and the deadline for response to the consultation is January 2, 2007.
