TOKYO (WiMAX Day). Japanese broadband network operator ACCA Networks will showcase WiMAX services next week at the NET&COM 2007 exhibition. According to a company press release, there will be an “ACCA WiMAX Booth” that will deliver demonstrations of WiMAX services such as VoIP. ACCA has installed a WiMAX base station at the exhibition to provide the services. The company applied to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) on December 25th, 2006 for a special license to use 2.5 GHz spectrum during the demonstration. The MIC has not yet issued formal licenses for this radio frequency.
