Redline Communications, a leading provider of standards-based broadband wireless equipment, today announced that Åre Network has chosen Redline’s RedMAXTM products for one of the first WiMAX networks in Sweden. Åre Network will deliver high-speed Internet and VoIP services to thousands of consumers and businesses in the Jämtland region, the location of the 2007 FIS Alpine World Ski Championship.

DataEquipment, Redline’s certified, Value Added Distributor in Nordic countries is providing local logistics and post- sales operations support to roll out the WiMAX Forum CertifiedTM RedMAX network.

Åre Network joins the growing field of emerging network operators that are choosing 802.16-2004 solutions to quickly establish broadband wireless networks that offer the features and performance they need to offer advanced communications services. Åre Network selected Redline’s proven WiMAX Forum CertifiedTM RedMAX system to deliver advanced broadband wireless voice, video and data services to the geographically challenging region of Jämtland. The community of Nordannälden is the first phase in the deployment of Åre Network’s regional WiMAX network that will eventually bring advanced broadband wireless connectivity to the entire Jämtland area.
