Schools in Tunisia get WiMAX

TUNIS (WiMAX Day). The Tunisian Minister of Education, Dr Sadok Korbi, announced this week that students at primary and secondary schools must have access to Internet technology, and by June 2007 he intends to implement a program that connects schools in Tunisia to the Internet using DSL and WiMAX technologies.

According to TunisiaOnline, the Minister said access to the Internet will help to “improve the quality of Tunisian education,” and should improve employment opportunities for young people.
