SEOUL (WiMAX Day). According to a report from Korea Telecom, Samsung Electronics said that both Google and Yahoo have indicated a strong interest in mobile WiMAX. The report from Samsung noted several classes of WiMAX stakeholders, including: from tier-1 Telecoms such as KT, AT&T, to mobile networks and cable operators, pur play WiMAX operators and finally internet portals such as Google and Yahoo. Separately, Google recently announced a partnership with Samsung to embed Google’s mobile services on select Samsung phones, and rumours persist Google and Samsung will develop a Google phone.
