LONDON (WiMAX Day). Ofcom, the UK telecommunications regulator, has agreed to consolidate the 3.4 GHz spectrum licenses owned by UK Broadband. The company was granted one license for 13 regions at auction in 2003, and subsequent to that, UK Broadband acquired two single region licenses. The three licenses cover all of the UK, and each has the same terms. Ofcom will replace the three licenses with a single national license.
