MOSCOW (WiMAX Day). Enforta, the largest broadband wireless provider in Russia, plans to expand its network using equipment from Alvarion. Due to the lack of available WiMAX spectrum in Russia, Alvarion will adapt its WiMAX 802.16 platform for use with the 5.2 GHz spectrum owned by Enforta. The company has a service ‘footprint’ covering 25 cities and plans to launch in an additional eight cities in the second half of 2007.
