KIRKLAND (WiMAX Day). Clearwire Corp announced last week that it completed its US$300 million purchase of 2.5 GHz spectrum from AT&T, which covers mainly the southern United States. The spectrum sale was agreed in February, following the merger of AT&T and BellSouth, wherein AT&T was forced to dispose of the spectrum to achieve regulatory approval.
