Design, implementation, test, and documentation of wireless communication system MAC layer and upper layer algorithms and architecture.
Simulations, implementation and verification, reference designs, field trials, and production development from concept to deployment by working with ASIC and Software Design groups as well as Marketing and product line management.
Participation in wireless communication standard developments in standard committees e.g., WiMAX forum, IEEE 802, 3GPP, and/or 3GPP2.
Preparation, submission, and working on the acceptance of our standard submissions including proposals, contributions, and comments; and also evaluation and our-position recommendation regarding other companys submissions in the standard development.
Communication, synchronization, and bridging between internal requirements/developments and standard bodies.
Work closely with business development, marketing, and sales departments to provide the best paths/strategies for the success of our broadband wireless products.
Skills and Experience:
5+ years practical experience with wireless MAC system design, specification, architecture, simulation, implementation, and integration.
Excellent knowledge and experience in networking protocols and network architecture, IP, Ethernet, TCP, VoIP protocols, QoS, and scheduler design and development.
Strong knowledge and experience in mobility networks GSM, CDMA, 3GPP.
Knowledge and experience with simulation/coding and implementation by using C/C++ and/or commercial simulation tools.
Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
Well-organized, self-motivated, a solid team player, and technical contributor.
Knowledge and experience in standards developments, e.g. WiMAX, IEEE 802, 3GPP, and/or 3GPP2, is desired.
Good understanding of wireless PHY systems and RF systems is a plus.
Some experience with basic lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, digital multi-meter, etc., is a bonus.
