Comstar plans Moscow WiMAX

MOSCOW (WiMAX Day). The Russian fixed-line telecoms provider Comstar UTS announced that it will launch a WiMAX network in Moscow at the end of this year. Comstar president Sergey Pridantsyev said today that the company will install 17 base stations in Moscow, utilising its license for 2.5 GHz spectrum. He said that by November the network should cover 80% of Moscow, and will be marketed in conjunction with an ADSL package.
