TEL AVIV (WiMAX Day). WiMAX equipment vendor Alvarion today announced it financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2007. In the second quarter of 2007, revenues reached a record of US$57.5 million, an increase of 11% from $52.1 million in the first quarter of 2007, and 31% from $44 million in the second quarter of 2006. According to a company press release, Alvarion generated positive cash flow from continuing operating activities of approximately $2.6 million during Q2 2007. Cash reserves as of June 30, 2007 were approximately $122 million, up from some $120 million in the previous quarter. Tzvika Friedman, President and CEO of Alvarion, said in a prepared statement: “Based on our performance during the first half, and the positive outlook for the balance of the year, we are raising our target for revenue growth in 2007 to 25-30% over 2006, versus our previous target of 15-20%”
