Provide CAD and EDA support for RF/analog, FPGA, and digital design teams.
EDA responsibilities will include UNIX/Linux & some PC support, tool installation and updates, license and system monitoring, and DM management.
CAD functions will include tool support, resolution of design automation and methodology issues in the areas of system, circuit, and device simulation, physical design, and assisting tapeout.
Additional tasks include vendor support and coordination and design environment setup, automation and improvement. EDA and CAD functions will emphasize Cadence tools.
Skills and Experience:
Experience managing Cadence tools is a requirement.
Experience managing tools from Mentor and other vendors is a plus.
Familiarity with Agilent & EM tools is a plus.
Ability to create/modify Assura verification decks is highly desirable.
Must be familiar with the UNIX/Linux environment and UNIX shell scripting (csh/sh).
Experience with SKILL scripting a requirement.
Experience with Perl, Python, TCL, and C/C++ programming is a plus.
Must be able to define automatable design tasks and automate them through scripting.
Must have good oral communication and organization skills.
Assist and help plan hardware infrastructure upgrades and design team software requirements and needs.
A minimum of 5 years experience in an engineering environment required with a BS in Computer or Electrical Engineering.
