Job Summary:

Seeking qualified candidates for the position of Sales Manager to provide outstanding customer support and detailed technical design assistance to consumer electronics, cellular handsets, mobile devices and infrastructure equipment manufacturers to drive the adoption and deployment of NextWave technologies. Good knowledge and experience with WiMAX or other wireless technologies such as GSM/GPRS, CDMA, and/or 3G (WCDMA/TD-SCDMA) is desired. The ideal candidate will build a relationship with customers in the role of trusted advisor. Defining strategies for engaging with consumer electronics, infrastructure and device manufacturers resulting in the use ofNextWave’s technology solutions and products.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Determine key success goals for NextWave to win the customer. These likely include technical evaluations, trials, performance targets, design-in, deployment costs, schedule, field trials, ecosystem partners and carrier relationships.
  • To establish relationships with key decision makers within target customers and drive necessary sales activities including CRM, technical evaluations & demonstrations, business proposals, objection handling, and closing business deals.
  • To manage the interfaces between the customers engineering / management teams and NextWave teams to facilitate the introduction, design-in, lab and field trials, forecasting and commercialization of NextWaves technology.

Skills and Experience:

  • A BSEE or equivalent required. MBA desired.
  • At least seven years of experience in semiconductor sales with an emphasis in wireless semiconductor technologies preferred.
  • Experience with system or solution deployments is highly desirable.
  • Experience in taking customers to mass production is desirable.
  • Must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting.
  • Strong presentation skills as well as the ability to build and present high quality product demonstrations to both technical and executive audiences. Must exhibit ability to speak in front of large audiences.
  • Ability to travel, including international if necessary
