TAIPEI (WiMAX Day). The Taiwanese device manufacturers Gemtek and Zyxel are expected to turn revenues on WiMAX equipment of nearly US$30 million for 2007, according to market sources and a report in <em>DigiTimes</em>.
The report notes that Gemtek expects to start shipping up to 60,000 devices per month by September. This will result in an estimated 300,000 to 500,000 units for 2007.
Zyxel has predicted that revenues from WiMAX CPE units will represent 3-5% of 2007 revenues, but does not include revenues from future sales related to their deal with Sprint.
