PARIS (WiMAX Day). Alcatel-Lucent has been awarded a contract to build a WiMAX network for VSE Net in Germany in the Saar region in the south of Germany bordering France. The network will be built with Inquam Broadband, which holds a license for WiMAX spectrum in the region. The relationship between Inquam and VSE Net was not disclosed. VSE Net is a subsidiary of Artelis, a joint venture between Luxembourg utility Cegedel and German utility VSE AG, which is majority owned by utility RWE.
