OTTAWA (WiMAX Day). The Canadian wireless network supplier DragonWave has agreed a strategic network solutions agreement with NextWave Wireless. According to a company press release, “NextWave will adopt DragonWave’s AirPair and Horizon products as its preferred wireless backhaul solution and will partner with DragonWave to supply service providers worldwide with fully integrated, end-to-end, mobile broadband and transport network solutions.” In a prepared statement, Allen Salmasi, President & CEO of NextWave Wireless, said “The ability to cost-effectively backhaul broadband traffic through ultra high capacity links is a critical element of achieving the overall cost targets of 4G networks that require significantly different network architectures.”
