SYDNEY (WiMAX Day). The Australian TV broadcaster company Seven Network has increased its stake in the WiMAX operator Unwired to 19.8 percent, one week after it acquired an interest of 10.4%. It was reported in the Sydney Morning Herald that Seven paid AUD 9 million for its share purchase this week, which account for the remaining shares of former Unwired chairman Steve Cosser, who left the company in July.
Unwired CEO David Spence told reporters that Seven “have notified us that they have 19.8 per cent of the company,” the Sydney Morning Herald reported. “But we haven’t received anything formal … with regards to what their intentions are.”
