BOCA RATON (WiMAX Day). Airspan Networks has launched an ingenuous WiMAX USB device that works like a WiMAX modem and will allow any laptop computer to access nearly every WiMAX network worldwide. The device supports all target Wave 2 MIMO mobile WiMAX certification profiles (2.3 GHz, 2.5 GHz, 3.3 – 3.8 GHz, and 4.9 – 5.8 GHz). The announcement of this product was seen as one of the first true key product enablers for WiMAX roaming across multiple network frequencies, including licensed and unlicensed frequencies. Sporting an elegant and compact design, the device is named MiMAX USB.
