HELSINKI (WiMAX Day). The Finnish electronics manufacturer Elcoteq said today that it has become a global manufacturing partner for Telsima, the American manufacturer of WiMAX base stations and modems. Elcoteq will manufacture Telsima products in mass volumes at its plant in Bangalore, India. Telsima recently announced orders for 10,000 WiMAX base stations, and has deployed thousands of base stations for both Reliance Communications and VSNL in India.
