PARIS (WiMAX Day). The WiMAX chipset designer Sequans Communications announced the release of a new radio frequency (RF) integrated circuit for mobile WiMAX Wave 2 end-user devices. Sequans said the dual-channel chip is designed to support advanced MIMO technology with low power consumption. The chip, named SQN1140, should be available to the market in Q1 2008.
