TAIPEI (WiMAX Day). The Taiwanese WiMAX license holder Global Mobile has completed a capital increase of NT$1.3 billion (US$33 million). According to a Dow Jones report, Global Mobile took on nine new shareholders, including Chunghwa Telecom, as had been previously rumoured. The report said that “Chunghwa Telecom has taken a stake of about 10% in Global Mobile.” Amongst the other shareholders include chip designer Silicon Integrated Systems, the network gear manufacturer D-Link, WiMAX chip designer Davicom Semiconductor, China Development Financial Holding, and the content services company Com2B.
