SOFIA (WiMAX Day). Max Telecom announced that it has expanded its WiMAX network in Bulgaria to 30% of the population, or 2.5 million Bulgarians. Since last month, the Max Telecom network now covers the main ski resorts in Bulgaria, as well as the cities of Sofia, Blagoevgrad, Bourgas, Doupnitsa, Pazardjik, Pernik, Petrich, Plovdiv, Sandanski and Sliven. With the investment of another 15 million Euro, the company plans to complete deployment of its network by the end of 2008.
