BARCELONA (WiMAX Day). Alvarion announced its membership in the HP Developer and Solution Partner Program (DSPP). The program is part of HP’s Communications, Media and Entertainment business unit and it provides partners with a variety of tools and technical assistance. Alvarion is the first WiMAX vendor to join HP’s program.  “Joining the HP DSPP helps Alvarion realise our vision of developing a complete OPEN WiMAX ecosystem,” said Rudy Leser, corporate vice president of strategy and marketing for Alvarion. “Operators can now enjoy the advantages of an all-IP, best-of breed ecosystem, which combines HP’s products with Alvarion’s RAN capabilities.”

Alvarion will demonstrate its new mobile WiMAX solutions based on HP Software at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain this week. Demonstrations include using the HP Service Activator with Alvarion’s 4Motion program operating on 3.5 GHz.
