PARIS (WiMAX Day). During a presentation of its 2007 results to investors this week, the French broadband company Iliad, which markets the Free service, noted that it is still conducting trials of WiMAX in Paris. The first trial began last year. Iliad owns the only national license to 3.5 GHz WiMAX spectrum in France. The company said it remains interested in the deployment of WiMAX, and is focussed on its use for mobile services.
