PARIS (WiMAX Day). The French regional broadband operator Numeo announced last week that it will begin to offer WiMAX services. Numeo does not own any licenses for WiMAX spectrum, but instead will lease WiMAX network infrastructure from companies such as HDRR and Altitude Telecom. Numeo already is offering such WVNO services in the west of France in the Loiret, Seine-et-Marne and Quimper, with another eight regions to soon follow. For subscribers in areas where access to broadband Internet services does not exist, Numeo is offer introductory WiMAX services of 2 Mbps for € 29.90 EUR per month.
