TAIPEI (WiMAX Day). Four WiMAX license holders in Taiwan have joined forces to form the Consortium for Mobile Broadband. Members of the Consortium include First International Telecom (Fitel), Global Mobile, Vastar Cable TV System, and Tatung Telecom. The Consortium was formed in an effort to further the development of WiMAX in Taiwan, which will include sharing base stations, international co-operation, roaming and co-ordination of services.
