NEW YORK (WiMAX Day). The mobile phone software developer Red Bend Software annopunced that it has raised USD 10 million to develop products for the WiMAX market. Investors in this round of funding includes Greylock Partners, Coral Capital, Carmel Ventures, Pitango Venture Capital and Infinity. Red Bend is one of the leading developers of Over-The-Air (OTA) technologies used in most mobile telephones. According to a company press release, “The investment round …will be used to beef up its sales and marketing staff as it targets the young but growing WiMAX (worldwide interoperability for microwave access) sector.”
