QUITO (WiMAX Day). According to a report in BNamericas, the state-owned telecom operator Andinatel has launched a WiMAX network. The company has thus far invested USD 400,000, and Andinatel believes that its network will reach 200,000 subscribers this year. The company plans further expansion of their WiMAX network throughout Ecuador in areas where there is no access to broadband.
