PARIS (WiMAX Day). Motorola announced today that it has been selected by the French group TDF to supply WiMAX networks for deployment in several French regions. Through its subsidiary HDRR, TDF holds licenses to 3.5 GHz spectrum in France, and has been testing and building WiMAX networks with success in the regions of Loiret, Sarthe and Limousin. According to Motorola, it will provide “deployment, integration and support services to TDF in addition to WiMAX equipment such as WiMAX Access Points (the WAP 400 series), and outdoor and indoor customer premises equipment such as the CPEo 400 series and CPEi 200 series.”
