MANAMA (WiMAX Day). Men Telecom, an investment subsidiary of Kuwait Finance House (Bahrain), announced today that it has opened its WiMAX network management facility in the Seef area of Bahrain’s capital city Manama.
At an opening ceremony, Mr. Abdulhakeem Al Khayyat – CEO & Managing Director of Kuwait Finance House said “Mena Telecom is implementing a WiMAX 802.16e network that puts The Kingdom of Bahrain at the forefront of global wireless technology.”
The facility will manage the WiMAX network of Mena Telecom, including functions such as a call centre, and a network operations centre. The facility is to be staffed by “a dedicated team of Motorola engineers and technicians who will continuously monitor and maintain network quality and reliability,” according to Mr. Al Khayyat.
