Mobile WiMAX comes to Jackson Hole, Wyoming
TEL AVIV (WiMAX Day). Alvarion announced today that it has supplied a mobile WiMAX network to DigitalBridge Communications which has been deployed in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. One of the most popular ski resorts in America, the network in Jackson Hole uses 2.5 GHz spectrum and will provide high-speed Internet access to businesses, municipal offices and residents, according to Alvarion. The network presently reaches more than 3,000 homes and businesses, and will be expanded with more mobile capabilities to cover a total footprint of 200,000 households.
