Romania prepares spectrum auction

BUCHAREST (WiMAX Day). The telecommunication regulator in Romania, ANRCTI, announced today that it will issue  licenses for BWA (Broadband Wireless Access) by the end of 2008. ANRCTI said it will issue two licenses, one in the 3600–3657 MHz frequency range, and one license at 3700-3757 MHz. The fee for each license is expected to be the equivalent of EUR 7,500,000. A third license will be issued to the National Radiocommunications Company, Radiocom.
