COPENHAGEN (WiMAX Day). The Danish utilities company ELRO announced that it plans to deploy a national WiMAX network in Denmark this year, with completion expected in 2010. The network will be constructed by local Danish company ECI Telecom, in concert with Alvarion Ltd and Ceragon Networks. According to Soren Moller, CTO Broadband of ELRO, “This is a milestone network for Denmark, with a future-proof path to transition to an all-IP-based mobile service provisioning, providing our customers with a complete offering for all their communication needs.”
